Job description

Position: Injection Mold Operator
Work Location: Braselton, GA 30517
Payrate: $30.00/hr
Duration: 3+ Months role with high chances of extension/conversion
Shift: (Mon - Fri) 2nd shift: 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm, must be able to train on 1st shift
Dress Code: casual
 
Job Description:
  • Perform basic setup and operation of plastic injection molding machines
  • Document processes and procedures
  • Maintain records
  • Set up auxiliary equipment
  • Set up equipment for secondary operations
  • Set up production work cells
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve injection molding, auxiliary, and secondary operations
  • Inventory, identify, select, and prepare resins for molding
  • Perform equipment maintenance and basic repairs
  • Maintain and organize tools and equipment
  • Inspect parts for qualification
  • Select molding setup parameters for new tooling
  • Work productively and cooperatively with others while maintaining clear communications
  • Knows how to perform quality test on each product type.
  • Help train new operators on injection molding machines
  • Knows how to remove/install injection molding tools
  • Performs daily PM’s on tools
  • Acts as a team lead.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One year of related experience.
Skills And Abilities:
  • Ability to use the required personal protective equipment at all times.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Ability to use basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplying, dividing, counting and the use of tape measure.
  • Ability to read and understand all safety operating procedures and to use all safety features and equipment.
  • Ability to walk, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at waist, and climb ladders or equipment.
  • Maximum unassisted lift - 50 lbs. Average lift less than 50 lbs.
Work Environment:
  • Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud and requires hearing protection.
  • Safety shoes and eye protection are also required.
  • Temperature environment 0 degrees to 110 degrees.
