Job description

JOB SUMMARY:
Hog Slat, Inc. is seeking a professional to join our Plastics Injection Mold team in Clinton, NC as a Machine Operator. This position is responsible for monitoring, changing, and maintaining plastic injection molding machines and equipment that affect the quality of products being produced and to assist in production of goods in a timely and efficient manner
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as business conditions change.
  • Maintains the set points to produce quality parts at the optimum cycle.
  • Simple troubleshooting of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment related processing issues
  • Responsible for production reporting and job completion including materials reconciliation
  • Understand and follow plant safety rules including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation. Personal Protective Equipment is to be used where required
  • Housekeeping: maintain general housekeeping in all areas of production, including the break rooms and rest rooms

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
The IDEAL CANDIDATE will have the following experience/educational background:
  • Very high attention to detail
  • Computer knowledge a plus
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly during shift
  • Dependable
  • Experience in working in a high volume manufacturing facility
  • Stable work history
