Hiring Opportunity: London, Ohio

Our client is a full-service, tier one supplier to Honda, specializing in the design and production of lighting equipment, accessories, and electronic components.
Our client's London, Ohio facility houses lighting and mold design, construction, production engineering, and dedicated associates in their Quality, Assembly, Sales, and Customer Service departments.
The Injection Molding Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance on and repairing plastic injection molds.
Responsibilities:
- Performing complex repairs with the aid of hand and basic machine tools and without supervision.
- Skillfully interpreting mold and manifold prints.
- Making complex components from print.
- Polishing up to class A1 diamond surface.
- Providing leadership and/or mentoring lower-level technicians.
- Prioritizing and performing multiple tasks.
- Completing complex repairs, design changes or new builds.
- Evaluating, planning and completing all aspects of the job with no assistance. This plan may involve the outsourcing of some tasks, but the plan must be directed by the technician in a timely manner.
- Leading projects from start to finish with ability to direct and mature supporting staff.
- Designing and fabricating jigs, fixtures and gauges.
Qualifications:
- 8-10+ years of mold making experience.
- Electrical and hydraulic aptitude/knowledge.
- Proven mechanical aptitude with understanding of dimensional mathematics.
- Ability to interpret mold and manifold prints.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Able to walk or stand for 2 hours at a time for up to 10 hours.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
