Job description

Position Summary

As an Injection Mold Machine Operator you will be responcible for inspects and packages molded parts and will be expected to identify issues, communicate improvement opportunities have a basic understanding of machine operations for start-up and shut-down procedures.

Shift: 2:00pm-10:00pm Monday-Friday

What You Will Do As An Injection Mold Machine Operator
  • Perform start-up, shut-down, restarts, process monitoring and troubleshooting per standard work on all plastic injection molded tools and related equipment; this includes basic cleaning and maintenance.
  • Must verify correct machine parameters, processes and auxiliary equipment before machine start up and at specified intervals.
  • Verifies paperwork for jobs and completion of inspections at startup of job and in-process inspections.
  • Follows the company's medical manufacturing quality system per ISO 13485 and FDA guidelines to insure product quality meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Adheres to company safety policies as well as OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Performs multiple ongoing tasks keeping mold machines running productively and within compliance standards.
  • Notifies appropriate personnel of any abnormalities with equipment or systems.
  • Packaging duties to include scale counting, printing labels, and preparing completed product per Standard Operating Procedures for production.
  • Operates grinding machine.
  • Helps keep department in compliance with Lean initiatives including 5S.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet the objectives of the facility.
Experience, Skills, & Abilities

Required:

  • High school graduate/GED
  • Basic understanding of injection mold machines and peripheral equipment.
  • Ability to understand oral and written instruction in English.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions and safety rules.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving part and equipment variation and make decisions accordingly; has excellent quality aptitude.
  • Ability to record data and communicate electronically; demonstrates basic computer skills.
  • Cycle counting and use of scales for weight calculations
  • Able to maintain good attendance and is available for support on Saturdays and beyond normal working hours.
  • Ability to collaborate well with others.

Pay range for this opportunity is$16.45 - $20.32.This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
