Job description

At SpringSeal, Inc., you’ll guide a dedicated production team through a full shift of plastics profile extrusion. From the moment you review the day’s job orders to the final quality checks, you set the pace and uphold the process that turns raw materials into finished, spec-perfect product.

A day in this role
  • Kick off the shift by aligning the crew to the production schedule and confirming everyone is trained for their stations.
  • Verify that every product is built to specification, from setup through final inspection, and that all safety rules are followed without exception.
  • Walk the floor to ensure housekeeping and safety standards are exemplary and take action where improvements are needed.
  • Troubleshoot line issues, coordinating closely with Engineering and Quality Control to resolve root causes and raise quality.
  • Confirm raw materials are correctly identified, weighed, and documented; audit that the process from material to finished goods matches the job order.
  • Capture accurate production data, analyze shift performance, and submit complete reports and forms.
  • Model leadership—work quality, communication, ethics, and integrity—so the team knows what “great” looks like.

Qualifications
  • Deep knowledge of plastics manufacturing with emphasis on plastic profile extrusion
  • Bonus experience: thermoforming and injection molding

  • Comfort using precision measurement tools: calipers, micrometers, durometers, tape measures
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Physical aspects of the work

Work is primarily performed in a busy plant environment. You can push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs; move safely around equipment and obstacles; and climb ladders and stairs as needed.
