Job description

Job Overview

CNC Machinist / CAD-CAM Programmer

Design It. Program It. Machine It.

We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist with experience in CAD/CAM programming using Autodesk Fusion to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys taking a part from concept to completion—designing, programming, machining, and producing precision components used in custom CNC tube bending equipment and industrial automation.

This is not a high-volume production environment. We manufacture custom machinery and precision components, so every project presents new challenges and opportunities to apply your skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design precision parts and fixtures using Autodesk Fusion
  • Create CNC toolpaths and programs using Fusion CAM
  • Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications
  • Select tooling, workholding, and machining strategies for efficient production
  • Manufacture parts while maintaining tight tolerances and high quality standards
  • Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments
  • Collaborate with engineering and assembly teams to develop practical manufacturing solutions
  • Improve existing machining processes for quality and efficiency
  • Maintain equipment and a clean, organized work environment

Qualifications

  • Experience operating CNC machining centers
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Fusion for CAD design and CAM programming
  • Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, feeds, and speeds
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and GD&T preferred
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and indicators
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to producing high-quality work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Multi-axis machining experience
  • Manual machining experience
  • Prototype or low-volume manufacturing experience
  • Experience machining stainless steel, tool steel, aluminum, and engineering plastics
  • Familiarity with custom machinery or industrial automation equipment

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay based on experience
  • Stable, year-round employment
  • Challenging, interesting work with minimal repetitive production
  • Opportunity to design, program, and machine components from start to finish
  • Collaborative team environment where your ideas and craftsmanship are valued
  • Opportunities for continued growth and professional development

If you’re the type of machinist who enjoys solving problems, creating precision parts, and seeing your work become part of sophisticated industrial equipment, we’d like to hear from you.
