Symphony of Linden is a beautiful and proud skilled nursing and assisted living community, and we are looking for a compassionate and driven Maintenance Assistant to help us provide the outstanding customer service and care that Symphony Network is known for. Job Summary: The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for taking direction from the Maintenance Supervisor in general maintenance and repair of the building and grounds. This position works directly with other members of the maintenance team to ensure the building is kept clean and free of hazards. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Essential Functions:
  • Inspect the facility on a regular basis to ensure the grounds, facility and equipment are maintained according to the facility policies and procedures
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plastering and mechanical repairs
  • Maintain the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
  • Maintenance Assistant assists in maintaining a clean, comfortable and safe environment.
  • All-seasons maintenance required on the grounds - different outside duties will be required given the season of the year.

Employment Requirements:
  • At least 2 years' experience in a maintenance department/position
  • Experience in a healthcare facility would be advantageous but not required
  • Reliable and Prompt
  • Ability to work and be on-call every other weekend
