SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Carpenter to provide support for a Facilities and Life Support Contract performed at an overseas location.
Essential Job Duties
- Must have knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
- Possess practical knowledge of repairs, installation of floor and ceiling tile, walls (plaster, block, drywall), masonry work, locksmithing, cabinet making, framing, form work and general knowledge of the painting trade.
- Must be able to operate small power tools and machinery as required.
- Must read blueprints and perform material take-offs from prints.
- Must possess leadership skills.
- Must possess the skills and attitudes to effectively communicate with the customer and subordinates.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Active in scope Secret clearance.
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or vocational program for a journeyman carpenter with eight (8) years of experience in trade and building maintenance.
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
Additional Information
Work Environment
- Must reside at an overseas location.
- A willingness to work rotational shift if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Long hours, exposure to harsh weather and other hazardous conditions.
- Wear of location appropriate PPE and clothing when in the field is required.
