Job description

Overview
The Industrial Nurse Practitioner will work in an industrial setting delivering excellent customer service and maintaining quality patient care consistent with established policies and goals/objectives of OHG. The Industrial Nurse Practitioner is responsible to attend to and follow up on occupational injuries and illnesses and provide emergency medical assistance as needed. Provides preventive treatment as needed to plant workers. Accountable for the day-to-day activities of the clinical operations of the client's clinic. Collaborates with the corporation and the OHG Medical Director on wellness programs and treatment plans. Promotes collaborative practices with other departments, physicians, and clinics. Performs any other duties as assigned. Supports clients' health, safety and environmental policies.
Qualifications
Education required: MSN in Occupational Health or Family Medicine from accredited school of nursing
License, certification and/or registration: Current Alabama State (or multi state) Registered Nurses Licenses required. BCLS certification must be received within the orientation period.
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years practical experience in occupational medicine/health as RN or CRNP preferred
Additional skills/abilities: Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care. Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions. Skill in writing and maintaining records and reports. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with companies, patients, families, physicians, employees and staff. Ability to communicate clearly. Ability and willingness to work with all patients. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Knowledge of the organizations policies and procedures. Upholds effective work habits including, but not limited to, regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, dependability and promptness. Knowledge of OSHA requirements.
