Job description

Essential Duties:
  • Shipping, Receiving, & Transportation: Prepare, manage, and document shipping and receiving of product and rental orders; transport safety equipment to and from customer sites using a small truck and trailer setup.
  • Equipment Inspection & Maintenance: Clean, inspect, and perform simple repairs on safety equipment, including gas monitors, breathing air systems, fire extinguishers, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Inventory Management: Track, organize, and manage safety and rental equipment inventory, ensuring all items are in good working condition, properly documented, and readily available for customer needs.
  • Fleet Maintenance & Management: Track, oversee, and perform preventive maintenance on vehicles and trailers to ensure they are in safe, operable condition for product deliveries.
  • Shop & Yard Upkeep: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation, shop, and yard areas.
  • Documentation & Customer Support: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, calibrations, repairs, and inventory adjustments, while assisting customers with questions about equipment use, maintenance, and safety best practices.
  • The hourly pay range for this position is $25-$27.

Job Requirements:
  • Mechanical Skills: Basic knowledge of hand tools and repair techniques for equipment maintenance.
  • Driving Skills: Ability to safely operate a small truck and trailer; valid driver's license with a 3-year clean driving record history.
  • Ability to Learn: Willingness and aptitude to quickly learn new tasks, equipment, and procedures with guidance and training. Most of our processes can be taught through on-the-job training.
  • Customer Service Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with customers and support their equipment needs.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills for record-keeping and inventory management.
  • Physical Ability: Able to lift and carry equipment up to 45 lbs regularly.

Working Environment:
Plant environment. May be frequently exposed to wet, humid, outside weather conditions and vibration. Works in customer environments. May be exposed to high pressure, chemicals, and plant traffic. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
