Job description

Description Pay range is $21.30-$25.10 per hour Purpose of Position: Daily and weekly collection and processing of production data pertaining to the receipt of poultry at a processing facility. Generation and dissemination of reports to supervision, plant management, finance team members and others for use in the day-to-day operations of the facility as well as planning and analysis. Act as reporting liaison between Live production, plant processing and governmental agencies. Creation and posting of journal entries to ensure proper distribution of costs. Essential Job Functions: Daily and weekly preparation and reconciliation of plant production reports including finished production, WIP inventory, rack inventory, intercompany WIP transfers to/from multiple plants, condemned product, offal distribution, and production mix file. Daily data entry, reconciliation and analysis of parts counter tally reports. Highlighting and researching of any line items in the detail that are out of the norm. Distribution of reports to various stakeholders. Preparation and distribution of daily and weekly Agri Stat data reporting and accompanying trend reports. Daily investigation of missing and/or excess weight. Collection, verification and production of assorted forms and reports for USDA. Preparation of miscellaneous journal entries both weekly and at period end. Performing backflush of daily birds received for period-end reporting. Preparation and analysis of weekly plant efficiency and downtime reports for processing, packaging and weigh/price departments. Other projects and duties as assigned. Requirements: High School diploma required, some college level accounting classes preferred. One-two years of accounting experience. Ability to work within strict time frames in order to meet deadlines and be able to work independently with a high degree of organization and prioritization skills for a high volume of work. Strong verbal/written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Computer literacy (strong Excel, SAP, and MTech) and ten-key by touch. Must be self-motivated, resourceful, and well-organized and detail oriented with a strong analytical ability.
