Job description

We're hiring a Plant Team -Precast to join County Materials in Marathon, WI.
Job Summary:
The Plant Team - Precast role supports daily precast concrete production operations by performing general labor, material preparation, mold setup, and equipment maintenance. This position plays a key role in maintaining efficient production flow by following established manufacturing procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.
This role is ideal for a hands-on, entry-level team member who thrives in a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing environment and is committed to safety, teamwork, and achieving daily production goals.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily tasks related to precast concrete production and general labor support
  • Set up, assemble, clean, and maintain steel pallets, forms, and molds
  • Prepare forms for concrete pouring, including cutting, bending, and placing rebar and welded wire mesh
  • Operate, maintain, and inspect production equipment, tools, and machinery
  • Clean and maintain work areas, equipment, and facility grounds
  • Perform manual labor tasks such as loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials
  • Support team members in achieving daily production targets and operational goals
  • Follow all workplace safety regulations, OSHA standards, and quality procedures
  • Maintain proper housekeeping standards for a clean and organized plant environment
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and supervisor instructions
  • Assist with special projects, production changes, or additional tasks as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience & Qualifications:
Required:
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to perform physical labor in a manufacturing or construction environment
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team-oriented setting
  • Safety-focused mindset

Preferred:
  • 0-2 years of experience in precast concrete, construction, manufacturing, or industrial labor
  • Familiarity with construction materials, rebar, or concrete processes
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in equipment operation and material handling
  • Willingness to learn and be trained on plant processes and machinery
  • Flexible and adaptable to team and production needs

Work Environment:
  • Work in indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperatures
  • Work near moving machinery and equipment - could include electrical hazards
  • Work in a noisy environment
