The Position: We are looking for a Full-time Plant Health Care Technician.
Qualified applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must have Delaware Pesticide License or receive pesticide license within 6 months of hire.
- Valid Driverโs license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
- Ability to enter information into a customer management system (CMS).
- Knowledge of plant health care, horticulture, agriculture, or related field.
- Preferred: Hands-on experience in the landscaping or horticulture industry.
Required Education: High School Diploma.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for properly mixing and applying chemicals while maintaining accurate chemical records and licensing.
- Treat specific insect, weed, turf disease, and nutritional deficiencies by application of the appropriate product.
- Maintain power spray equipment within safe, clean, and mechanical conditions.
- Use good judgment in the application of chemicals (weather conditions, public exposure, and environmental considerations).
- Abide by all safety procedures.
- Be able to read and interpret product labels.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
