AI/Agentic Solution Engineer Intern, #1097
Clearance: US citizenship required. Must be able to obtain a public trust clearance or higher as required
Dev Technology Group seeks talented rising juniors and seniors for our Summer 2027 Internship Program. Interns will be based out of our headquarters in Reston, Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity for those seeking professional experience in software development, sysadmin, DevOps, or a related field.
What You'll Be Doing:
Dev interns will work on a dynamic AI-driven solution development in support of a client. This is an opportunity to contribute to improving outcomes for our client and to observe and participate in many aspects of solution development. This effort will be highly technical and use modern and leading AI and agentic tools.
  • Participate in the development of solution(s) to solve real business problems.
  • Engage with business users to understand problems and needs, and collaborate with them on prototyping and iteration
  • Create all necessary documentation to support the technical, business, and user success of the delivery of the solution
  • Communicate actively with team members, colleagues, project members, and others regarding the status of planning, work, challenges or difficulties, learning opportunities, and lessons learned.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Rising juniors and seniors working toward a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field are preferred
  • Ability to understand complex business processes and how they relate to the systems supporting them
  • Ability to research problems, identify a root cause, and recommend and implement a solution
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions, gain new knowledge on process or technology, and apply it effectively
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to form and ask clarifying questions, establish rapport with others, and actively listen
  • Ability to collaborate with team members to ensure client needs and expectations are met or exceeded
  • Demonstrates a passion for solving complex business challenges through a combination of process and solution development, and enjoys working in team collaboration
  • Experience with general AI tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, or Claude to produce usable outputs
  • Experience with agentic AI tools (Claude Code, Codex, Kiro)
  • Must be able to commute to the Reston, Virginia office 2 days a week
