Job description

Allient Inc., is currently seeking a Production Scheduling Intern to join our team in Oshkosh, Wisconsin!

The Production Scheduling Intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within Allient’s manufacturing operations by supporting the creation, coordination, and optimization of production schedules. This role provides exposure to real manufacturing constraints, capacity planning, material flow, and cross functional communication essential for meeting production targets. The intern will work closely with production schedulers, planners, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment between demand, capacity, and inventory requirements. Apply now!

Responsibilities:

  • Help generate and validate work orders using MRP processes, ensuring timely release to manufacturing.
  • Support monitoring and maintenance of the Master Production Schedule, including identifying root causes for delays.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Receiving, Quality, and Engineering teams to track build plans, backorder status, and potential schedule interruptions.
  • Help identify risks impacting the production schedule (e.g., material shortages, equipment downtime, labor constraints) and propose potential mitigation options
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Analytics, or a related field (sophomore standing or higher preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail with accuracy in data entry and analysis
  • Basic understanding of math, grammar, and clerical processes
  • Ability to analyze information and use sound judgment within established procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under direct supervision and grow in independence
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
