PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire a Buyer/Planner in Wichita, KS who will help keep production on track by ensuring critical materials, tools, and aircraft parts are available when they're needed. What You'll Do
  • Source and purchase materials, tools, and components from internal and external suppliers.
  • Expedite purchase orders and monitor material deliveries to support production schedules.
  • Prioritize critical material needs and maintain shortage reports.
  • Create internal orders and manage inventory documentation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and support inventory control processes.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, production teams, and management to resolve material shortages.
  • Order and replenish materials, tools, and ground support equipment.
  • Identify alternate and superseded part numbers to maintain material availability.
  • Represent the department in meetings and communicate material status updates.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Typically 3+ years of experience in aviation, materials management, purchasing, or a related environment.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory planning, procurement, and inventory management systems.
  • Familiarity with aircraft parts, supplier programs, and repair station inventory processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business applications.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in aerospace supply chain, purchasing, or inventory control.
  • Knowledge of aircraft parts, materials, and production planning.
  • Experience supporting fast-paced manufacturing or maintenance operations.

Pay Details: $38.00 per hour
