A Planetree professional typically refers to someone working within the Planetree model of healthcare, which emphasizes patient-centered care and the holistic well-being of patients, families, and healthcare staff. These professionals may include doctors, nurses, administrators, or patient advocates who implement Planetree principles in their healthcare organizations. Their roles focus on creating healing environments, fostering open communication, and ensuring that patients are partners in their care. The Planetree approach aims to improve patient outcomes, satisfaction, and overall care experiences.

What are the common responsibilities of a Planetree coordinator in a healthcare setting?

This includes facilitating staff training on Planetree principles, organizing patient and family engagement activities, and monitoring the progress of culture-change programs. The role often involves collaborating closely with clinical staff, administrators, and patient advisory councils to ensure the patient experience is prioritized. Coordinators also gather feedback and report on outcomes to help guide continuous improvement efforts.
