Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Control Plane & Device Provisioning Engineer to design, develop, and manage advanced control plane systems for DOCSIS and Fiber networks. This role focuses on building scalable provisioning systems, API layers, and workflow orchestration solutions that enable efficient device activation, management, and firmware lifecycle operations.

Key Responsibilities

โ— Design and develop command & control plane software for DOCSIS and Fiber systems, including: o DHCP provisioning o TFTP configuration delivery o TR-069 / TR-369 (CWMP/USP) device management o Firmware upgrade orchestration

โ— Integrate control plane services with CMTS/OLT systems and cable modem configurations (DOCSIS/DPOE).

โ— Develop and maintain RESTful and SOAP APIs for control plane systems and operational dashboards.

โ— Build API abstraction layers to unify DHCP, datastore, and TFTP applications across multiple environments.

โ— Design and implement workflow orchestration for device activation and lifecycle management using BPMN or similar engines.

โ— Troubleshoot and debug issues across: o DHCP / DHCPv6 o TFTP systems o TR-069/TR-369 workflows

โ— Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network operations, engineering, and product management. Required Qualifications

โ— Experience: o 8+ years of software development experience o Minimum 5 years in network management or device provisioning systems

โ— Programming Skills: Proficiency in Java, Python, Rust, or C/C++

โ— DOCSIS Expertise: o 3+ years of hands-on experience with DOCSIS technology o Strong knowledge of CMTS and cable modem environments

โ— Network Protocols: Deep understanding of: o DHCP / DHCPv6 o TFTP o SNMP o TR-069 / TR-369 (CWMP/USP)

โ— IPv6 Knowledge: Strong expertise in IPv6 addressing, dual-stack implementations, and cable network architectures

โ— API Development: Proven experience designing and building REST and SOAP APIs, including multi-system integration layers

โ— Workflow Orchestration: Experience with BPMN or similar workflow engines

โ— Software Development Practices: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

โ— CPE Management: Hands-on experience in CPE provisioning, activation, and firmware management systems

โ— DevOps & CI/CD: Experience with: o GitLab CI o Docker o Kubernetes

โ— Core Competencies: Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail Summary This role is ideal for a senior-level engineer with strong expertise in network control plane systems, DOCSIS technologies, and device provisioning architectures.
