Job description

BDR Manager

Atonom.ai  |  In-Office (Provo, UT)  |  Full-Time

About Atonom

Atonom.ai is building the world's first true Cloud Employees: AI agents that execute real work across Sales, Marketing, Support, and HR. We believe growth should be limited by ambition, not headcount. We're past the automation era. We're in the era of genuine machine autonomy, and we're building the infrastructure for it.

This role is for the BDR or SDR lead who is done being the best person on the phones and is ready to run the team. You already know how to book the meeting. Now you want the engine underneath it to be yours: the cadence, the coaching, the number, and the people. If you have been waiting for a company still early enough that you can actually build it, this is that seat.

Compensation

Base salary: $75,000 – $100,000
OTE: $125,000 - $167,000

Placement in range is based on verified experience and a performance conversation during the interview process.

How We Set You Up to Win

Most companies hand a new BDR manager a sequence library and a headcount request. We do not. You learn the product the way our BDRs do, then you step into the seat with real credibility.

Weeks 1-2: Customer Success Immersion You sit with the CS team and see how customers actually use Atonom once they are live. The wins, the friction, what makes someone successful. Your team will book better meetings because you will have taught them what good looks like on the other side of the sale.

Days 14-90: Leading from the Floor You run the motion from inside it. Activity, sequences, meeting quality, conversion. You will use Atonom Cloud Employees the way your BDRs do. By the time the team is fully yours, you will not just know the talk track. You will have lived the product.

Day 90+: The Team Is Yours You own the number, the people, and how we generate pipeline. You start with a small team and build it toward 10 as we grow.

What You Will Own

A team number that is actually yours. Meetings set, meetings held, pipeline created. You know it cold, you forecast it, and you get the team there. The outbound process, and making it something people can actually run at a high level. Sequences, talk tracks, CRM, follow-up. Your BDRs will know the standard. You will know where every name stands. Coaching that makes people better. You are on the floor in Provo, next to them, on the calls. The people who work for you should be booking more, and booking better, than they were on day one. Hiring as we scale. You start small and build toward 10. You get to choose who sits on this team. A handoff AEs are glad to take. Your team books meetings sales can actually work. That is the reputation you will build, and it is how this function earns its seat at the table.

Who You Are

You have been the person other BDRs already copy. Maybe you have managed a pod. Maybe you have been the top performer who started unofficially coaching the row. Either way, you are ready to be measured on a team, not just your own activity. You love a scoreboard. Connect rates, meeting rates, show rates, conversion to opportunity, where the funnel leaks. You are the kind of leader who knows the numbers because that is how you win, not because someone asked for a report. You believe process is what lets a team scale. Volume without quality is noise. Quality without volume does not hit the number. You care about both. You can have a hard conversation and still have that person want to work for you. People leave your 1:1s knowing exactly where they stand and how to get better. You want to be in the office, on the floor, building this in Provo. Remote-managing a team you barely see is not the job you are looking for. You are competitive, and you are still coachable. You want to win, and you will change the cadence when the data says there is a better way. You are genuinely excited about AI and what it means for the companies your team will be talking to. You would prospect into this product even if it were not your job.

Nice to Have

CRM fluency (Salesforce, HubSpot) and a team that actually keeps the data clean Sequencing tools (Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo, or similar) Hired or ramped BDRs before, even a small pod High-activity backgrounds such as solar, retail, financial services, or insurance Experience prospecting into AI, automation, or workforce tools

Why Atonom

You will be leading the team that opens doors for one of the most interesting products in AI right now, to buyers who are trying to grow without just adding headcount. This is a build, not a babysitting job. Small team to start, a path to 10, and a real chance to shape how Atonom generates pipeline while it is still yours to shape. We move fast and we keep score. If you have been waiting for a company that will actually let you lead, not just give you a title, this is that seat.
