A local detox/res is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to support clients in a residential setting. This role plays a key part in ensuring safe withdrawal management, supporting clinical staff, and promoting high-quality client care throughout the treatment episode.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to clients undergoing withdrawal management and residential treatment.

  • Conduct ongoing assessments, obtain vital signs, monitor withdrawal symptoms, and escalate changes in condition to the RN or medical provider.

  • Administer medications in accordance with state regulations and facility protocols, including MAT support when applicable.

  • Maintain accurate medication logs, progress notes, and incident documentation in the EHR.

  • Support admission and discharge processes, including intake assessments, belongings checks, and client orientation.

  • Collaborate with clinical, support, and medical teams to ensure coordinated care.

  • Uphold safety standards and participate in crisis intervention as needed.

  • Provide education and compassionate support to clients navigating withdrawal and early recovery.

Qualifications
  • Active California LVN license in good standing.

  • Experience in detox, substance use disorder treatment, residential care, psychiatric, or related settings preferred.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced milieu with clients in various stages of withdrawal.

  • Strong documentation, medication management, and clinical assessment skills.
