About the Role:

The Carryout Manager in Grosse Pointe plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the carryout service within the establishment. This position is responsible for overseeing daily carryout activities, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of customer service to enhance the overall guest experience. The Carryout Manager will coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment while adhering to health and safety regulations. Additionally, this role involves inventory management, training and development of carryout staff, and implementing strategies to optimize operational efficiency and sales growth. Ultimately, the Carryout Manager ensures that customers receive their orders promptly and accurately, fostering repeat business and positive community reputation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory or management role within the food service or retail industry.
• Strong understanding of carryout or takeout operations and customer service principles.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Basic computer skills for order tracking, inventory management, and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or higher in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience managing carryout or delivery operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
• Certification in food safety or sanitation (e.g., ServSafe).
• Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily carryout operations to ensure timely and accurate order processing and delivery.
• Manage, train, and motivate carryout staff to maintain high levels of customer service and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to streamline communication and order fulfillment processes.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure adequate stock of packaging and carryout supplies.
• Implement and enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with local regulations.
• Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and resolve any issues related to carryout orders promptly and professionally.
