Position available: August, 2026



Position Purpose & Duties
The Assistant Athletic Director supports the Athletic Director in the administration and day-to-day operation of the St. Pius X Athletics program. This role helps ensure athletic activities are organized, well-communicated, and consistent with the mission, policies, and expectations of St. Pius X Parish School.

Key responsibilities may include assisting with athletic scheduling and calendars; coordinating coaches, teams, officials, facilities, and game-day operations; supporting athlete registration and eligibility; communicating with coaches and families; maintaining schedules, rosters, records, and athletic information; assisting with tournaments, special events, and postseason activities; and serving as a point of contact when the Athletic Director is unavailable.

The Assistant Athletic Director works collaboratively with the Athletic Director, school administration, coaches, volunteers, parents, and student-athletes to promote a positive, organized, faith-centered athletic experience that reflects the SPX Athletics mission: Strength in Faith. Pride in Play.

Education and Experience
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying.

  • High School diploma is required, associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • The candidate must exhibit a passion for and commitment to the success of the school
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
  • Proven track record of working in a team environment collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Ability to display independent problem-solving skills when necessary.


Physical abilities that are commonly associated with the performance of this job
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently be required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, see, feel with hands, reach with arms, walk up or down multiple flights of stairs, and be physically able to perform duties as assigned, including the ability to lift up to 20-30 pounds if needed.

  • Works in school building environments but also has ability to work outdoors during outdoor student activities.  

 
Compensation - $1500 per school year.
