Pit Boss - Job Summary
Primary duties will be assigned by the General Manager and Executive Chef and will include overseeing all food smoking and food preparation. Must have experience with or knowledge of barbecue methods, and strongly prefer this with prior experience working with a commercial smoker.
Required
  • In-depth understanding of smoking and barbecuing methods
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Industry-specific strategic and analytical knowledge
  • Proficient culinary skills
  • Proficient computer skills (including Microsoft word, Excel, Outlook, and database applications)
  • Serve safe certification
  • Must be at least 21

Preferred
  • One-year of smoking experience
  • Servsafe certification

Job Type: Full-Time
Typical Schedule
Days:
Monday through Sunday availability
    • Schedule varies including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Hours:
30 - 40 hours weekly, overtime possible
    • Varied hours (including evenings)
