Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Open Pit Driller to join our Cortez Surface Operations team.
The successful candidate is responsible for being an excellent teammate, adding to our already results-oriented and exciting working environment.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Open Pit Mine Operations Supervisor, the Open Pit Driller is responsible for the following:
  • Ensure drill area is properly cleaned before drilling and maintain an awareness of what is happening in work area - other traffic, machinery and plant, individuals
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Previous Surface Drilling/Blasting experience preferred
  • Valid Nevada drivers' license required
  • Heavy equipment operating experience preferred
  • Ability to carry at least 50 pounds required
  • Excellent verbal, written, and radio communication skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team required
  • Satisfactory safety, performance, and attendance records required
  • The ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role.
