BAS / Temperature Controls Electrician

Location / Territory: Pleasant Prairie / Mount Pleasant / Southeast Wisconsin; field-based


About the Company

Lee Mechanical is an established Southeast Wisconsin MEPF contractor serving commercial and industrial clients through mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, refrigeration and building controls capabilities. Its Controls team provides integrated building automation solutions spanning engineering/design through installation and ongoing support, working alongside Lee's broader mechanical construction and design-build operations.


Role Summary

The BAS / Temperature Controls Electrician installs and supports building automation and temperature-control systems on major commercial and industrial projects. This is a hands-on field role for an electrician who understands BAS and HVAC controls beyond traditional electrical installation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Install BAS and temperature-control systems.
  • Install conduit, control cabling and field devices.
  • Install controllers, control panels and associated equipment.
  • Complete cable terminations.
  • Wire equipment up to 120VAC.
  • Read blueprints, control schematics and wiring drawings.
  • Interpret project scopes and installation requirements.
  • Support system troubleshooting and startup activities.
  • Follow LOTO, arc-flash and PPE requirements.
  • Coordinate with project and field teams.
  • Maintain safe, organized jobsites.
  • Document/as-build completed work.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years electrical experience.
  • Working knowledge of BAS/temperature controls.
  • Understanding of HVAC systems and sequences of operation.
  • Ability to interpret electrical/control drawings.
  • OSHA 10 minimum.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently in field environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 30.
  • Prior data center experience.
  • Experience with DDC controls.
  • Experience leading junior field personnel.
  • Change-order/estimating exposure.

  • Safe installations completed on schedule.
  • Accurate installation of controls and field devices.
  • Low rework/punch-list volume.
  • Effective troubleshooting.
  • Strong coordination with BAS project leadership.
