Job description

Job Title: Quality Control Manager (QCM) – Data Center Construction

Location: Manassas, VA
Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $120k per year + company-provided lodging + $500 vehicle stipend & other benefits. Medical (70), Dental (50), Vision (50), PTO, 401(K)(5) & Life insurance (100).

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager (QCM) to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities for large-scale Data Center construction projects in Manassas, VA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing quality on mission-critical facilities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client quality requirements. Experience with USACENAVFAC, or other federal construction projects is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the project's Quality Control Plan (QCP).
  • Manage the Three-Phase Quality Control System (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up Inspections).
  • Perform daily quality inspections to ensure work complies with contract documents, project specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Coordinate inspections with owners, subcontractors, design teams, and third-party testing agencies.
  • Review and approve submittals, RFIs, material certifications, and inspection reports.
  • Track deficiencies, maintain punch lists, and ensure timely corrective actions.
  • Conduct quality meetings and provide regular quality reports to project leadership.
  • Ensure all documentation is maintained, including testing reports, inspection logs, NCRs, and closeout documentation.
  • Verify compliance with safety regulations while maintaining quality standards.
  • Support commissioning activities and turnover documentation for mission-critical systems.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Quality Control Manager on commercial or mission-critical construction projects.
  • Strong experience with Data Center construction (Ground-Up or Major Expansion).
  • Experience with electrical, mechanical, structural, and architectural quality inspections.
  • Experience managing quality for MEP systems, HVAC, UPS, generators, switchgear, and commissioning activities.
  • Knowledge of USACENAVFAC, or Federal construction quality requirements is preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software (Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, etc.).

Preferred Certifications

  • USACE CQM-C Certification (Current or Ability to Obtain)
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction
  • EM 385-1-1 (Preferred)
  • CCM, CQE, or other Quality certifications are a plus.
