Flint Hills Resources is seeking a Product Analyst Co-Op in the Information Technology department in Wichita, KS. This role will be a part of a larger product team that partners closely with FHR capabilities to deliver a technology roadmap that transforms a work process. The aim of FHR's Business Focused technology roadmaps is to create competitive advantages through industry leading data management strategies.

This co-op role is based in-office in Wichita, KS . You can anticipate working 15-25 hours per week (primary hours between 7:00AM-5:00PM) with flexibility to work around your school schedule.
Our Team
We are searching for a talented Product Analyst Co-Op to be a pivotal member of our team. Flint Hills Resources IT product teams create value for FHR by maximizing return on investments in technology, focusing on solving business problems and optimizing total cost of ownership. Join our Product Team and help create innovative solutions.
What You Will Do
  • Partner with Product Owners and the business to configure technology which enables work processes.
  • Ensures quality of product releases and deliverables through execution of risk mitigation strategies, including creation of test automation scripts, creation and execution of test cases, and regression testing.
  • Coordinate with business partners to conduct user acceptance testing.
  • Partner with the business to capture, analyze, and document functional requirements to provide to other IT capabilities.
  • Coordinate the execution of project deliverables by other IT capabilities to help ensure projects are delivered on time.
  • Recommend enhancements to products to optimize work processes.
  • Continue to quickly learn new systems and products based on business needs.
  • Work on a team to execute project deliverables.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Currently enrolled in a degree program related to one of the following areas: Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related technical field
  • Initiative, natural curiosity, strong communication skills, and an aptitude for fast-paced learning
  • Currently residing in Wichita, KS or the surrounding area
  • Eligible for full-time employment by July 202 8
  • Demonstrated interest in or experimentation with AI or generative tools (coursework, class projects, personal projects, hackathons, or hands-on use of AI assistants/ LLM's )
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship

  • Prior experience in IT or a related field
  • Familiarity, entry level experience, or projects related to using query languages (SQL, VQL, or Cypher) to extract, analyze and test data quality
