Job description

CSI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to serve as a full-stack development SME on a federal client's AI Support Services program. This role designs, builds, and sustains production-grade applications using modern full-stack architectures (PERN) and Infrastructure-as-Code, while applying Agile/Scrum practices and supporting the software development lifecycle end-to-end.Key Responsibilities:Provide extensive software development, scripting, and project-level technical leadership.Apply Scrum/Agile development methodologies throughout the delivery lifecycle.Design and implement applications using full-stack approaches such as PERN (PostgreSQL, Express.js, React, Node.js).Use Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform) to manage environments.Manage CI/CD pipelines and Git-based code management.Integrate observability tooling into software engineering efforts.Direct system installations and upgrades.Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, mapping systems flow/data usage/work processes, and investigating problem areas.Determine system specifications and requirements; improve system performance through systems analysis and recommend policy/procedure changes.Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with in-depth knowledge of relational databases.Report on development and service issues by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing relevant data.Required Qualifications:5–10 years of software engineering experience, including full-stack development.Hands-on experience with multiple development frameworks and software architecture.In-depth knowledge of relational databases.Proficiency in PERN stack (PostgreSQL, Express.js, React, Node.js) and Terraform.Expertise managing CI/CD pipelines and Git-based code management.Experience integrating observability tools into engineering workflows.Strong Scrum/Agile experience.Education:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.Clearance/Suitability: Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Public Trust suitability determination.Cyber Security Innovations (CSI) is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
