Job description

Job Title: Welder and FabricatorJob Description

The Welder will be responsible for laying out, fitting, and prepping pipe systems and fixtures for fluid processing machinery. You will weld the products together from blueprints with weld symbols. Weld processes vary per metal and project, primarily focusing on pipe welding using Pulse MIG and TIG processes. Some of the fluid processes involve larger units, requiring the use of ladders to reach installation areas. Additionally, pressure vessel welding and testing capabilities are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Lay out, fit, and prepare pipe systems and fixtures.
  • Weld products from blueprints using appropriate weld symbols.
  • Conduct pipe welding using Pulse MIG and TIG processes.
  • Handle larger units with ladders for installation.
  • Perform pressure vessel welding and testing.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in TIG and Stick welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience with Pulse MIG and Pipe Welding.
  • Expertise in fabrication and fitting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to pass three weld tests on day one.
  • Certification in welding.
  • Proficiency in welding 6G 2" Schedule 80 and 160 Pipes with specific techniques.

Work Environment

Engage in the manufacturing of heavy machinery for industries such as Chemical, Gas/Oil, and Pharma. Adhere to a dress code requiring steel toes, safety glasses, and hearing protection. Specific PPE is provided for different jobs, and welders must wear a weld hood, gloves, and jacket.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
