Job Overview

Industrial Piping & Welding LLC (IPW) is hiring an experienced and safety-focused Industrial Pipe Welder to support mechanical and industrial piping projects throughout the Wasatch Front. This role involves high-precision TIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper piping systems in mechanical rooms, boiler systems, and industrial facilities.

We are looking for a professional who takes pride in craftsmanship, can meet B31.3 code standards, and works well as part of a team in demanding job site environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality TIG (GTAW) pipe welding

  • Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper piping systems

  • Produce welds that meet B31.3 code requirements and pass X-ray inspection

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols

  • Prepare pipe and materials for welding, including fit-up and tack welding

  • Operate welding equipment and power tools safely

  • Work closely with pipefitters and field crews

  • Maintain clean and safe job sites

  • Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures

Qualifications
  • Required:
    • 4 to 5 years of industrial pipe welding experience

    • Strong proficiency in TIG (GTAW) welding

    • Ability to pass a B31.3 weld test to X-ray standards

    • Solid blueprint and welding symbol interpretation skills

    • High attention to detail and quality

    • Physically able to lift materials and work in industrial environments

  • Preferred:
