Job description

Dubak Electrical Group is growing and we are looking to add an experienced Pipefitter/Welder to our team in La Grange Park, Illinois.


This individual will perform skilled work in welding and cutting using MIG, TIG & Aluminum welding equipment.  Perform electric arc and acetylene welding on equipment, including pipe, tanks, machine parts, metal structures, fixtures, and fittings under direct supervision of the HVACR Senior Project Manager and designated supervision. Work environment will be in the field.


The ideal candidate will have worked in an industrial environment and have experience with the primary job duties listed in this description. 


Primary Job Duties and Requirements will include, but not limited to:


  • Prepare objects for welding by preheating, cleaning, and filing, positioning, aligning, and clamping or wiring loose parts.
  • Evaluate, design, repair and/or fabricate machine work as required.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and job specifications.
  • Maintain, clean, and perform minor repairs on welding equipment.
  • Assemble, maintain, install, and/or repair piping systems and components.
  • Perform prime coat painting as necessary
  • Other related duties as required.
  • Proficiently use standard machine shop equipment such as lathe, milling machine, drill press, band sawn, and other machinist related hand tools.
  • Follow all safety procedures
  • Always wear all required PPE 
  • Travel to national projects may be required
  • Must have a valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle 


Experience & Education:

  • Technical school, 4 yr. apprenticeship and/or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience as a Pipefitter/Welder at journey level.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a field environment
  • Technical proficiency on standard machine shop equipment such as lathe, milling machine, drill press, band saw and any machinist related hand tools.
  • Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of this job, including heavy lifting.
  • Must be able to wear/use all personal protective equipment required to perform job safely.
