Job description

RQ is currently seeking experienced Pipefitters to join our Mechanical team supporting projects at Kings Bay Naval Base, Georgia, Jacksonville, Florida, and nearby areas. All work is performed on military installations and is compensated according to Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements applicable to each site.

Pipefitters in this role will be responsible for laying out, assembling, and installing piping systems on active construction sites. This includes ensuring all work complies with applicable codes, specifications, and quality standards. The position requires strong technical knowledge of pipefitting practices, along with the proper use of tools and equipment. All work must be performed in accordance with established safety procedures and in alignment with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Today, we operate nationwide with active projects across the country, including in Georgia. Our field teams work directly on-site throughout the U.S., ensuring projects are executed efficiently and successfully.

We focus on fast-paced, ground-up commercial construction for both public and private clients, with a primary emphasis on Department of Defense (DoD) projects.

Compensation & Benefits

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid Pipefitter license or journeyman card or equivalent years of experience
  • Experience on government, military, or large-scale commercial projects is preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with mechanical pipe installation
  • Background in deep underground piping work
  • Experience with system startup and commissioning, including boilers and chillers
  • Valid pipefitter license or journeyman certification
  • Current welding certification
  • CPR, First Aid, and OSHA-10 certifications
