Job Title: 1st Class PipefitterJob Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled 1st Class Pipefitter with extensive shipyard and fabrication shop experience. This role is responsible for building, repairing, and installing pipe systems in both shop and shipyard environments. The ideal candidate is safety-driven, detail-oriented, and proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure quality workmanship and on-time project completion.


Key Responsibilities
  • Build, install, and repair pipe systems in fabrication shop and shipyard settings

  • Cut, shape, fit, bevel, and join pipe and other materials using torch and related tools

  • Read and interpret blueprints, Bluebook, take-offs, and project specifications

  • Perform construction math calculations using measuring devices

  • Plan, organize, and determine project methods and procedures

  • Use pipefitting tools such as tape measures, squares, levels, grinders, and torches

  • Safely move and lift heavy materials using overhead cranes and proper rigging techniques

  • Conduct safety inspections and follow hazardous materials handling procedures
