Position Description
PSS LLC is currently taking applications for Boilermakers for multiple ongoing projects.
Our Boilermakers must be able to:
  • Lift and move up to 80lbs.
  • Read & interpret pipe isos, drawings, and specifications.
  • Enter confined spaces common in industrial boilers and towers.
  • Disassemble & reinstall drum internals in boilers.
  • Demo old and install new boiler tubes whole or in repair sections.
  • Disassemble, repair & reinstall tower internals including sieve, bubble cap, and valve trays and packing systems.
  • Understand and execute basic rigging principles.
  • Assemble flanges, properly install gaskets, bolt-up and torque to specifications.
  • Complete precision measurements, alignments, and fit ups for structural and mechanical components.
  • Perform all tasks on the ground or in elevated locations.
  • Pressure test and perform inspection support activities.

You must be able to safely and productively use the following tools:
  • Tape measure
  • Grinders & Cut-off tools
  • Cutting torches
  • Torque wrenches
  • Hand wrenches
  • Tube expanders
  • Come-a-longs & chain falls

Position Requirements

Work Location: Multiple locations across the country, primarily in the Gulf South and East Texas regions.
Experience: 5 years of Boilermaker experience in an industrial work environment (Preferred). Minimum of 2 years is required to apply.
Pay: Based on Experience; ranges from $26 to $34.
Subsistence: Per Diem is available if mileage requirements are met; ranges from $75 to $100 per day.
Schedule: Schedules are project specific and can be 8 to 12 hours per shift; day or night shift; and 4 to 7 working days per week.
Travel: Must be able to travel to and from the worksite. Ability to commute to remote jobs will allow for longer term employment.
