Job description

Summary:

Esposito Construction has major sitework projects underway in throughout New Jersey and we're looking for an experienced working Pipe Foreman to ensure optimum productivity and construction compliance. Must have experience with installation of utilities as well as knowledge of various sizes and types of drain pipe. If you are physically able to work on your feet 40+ hours a week and love working both in & outside than this is the job for you. Above all else, we value the safety of our workers and need a team player that believes in working safe and being on time/early every day.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a crew in the installation of underground utilities, water mains, fire mains, sewer mains and storm drains
  • Execute pipe work in accordance with plans, specifications and directives from the Project Manager
  • Being able to run a pipe crew and also manage all day to day activities on a site.
  • Knows and understands the production schedule.
  • Can plan daily work from the project's four-week schedule and executes same
  • Can perform and train the essential job functions for any position on the pipe crew.
  • Identify, report and correct hazards.


Qualifications:

  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to measure, perform construction math and calculate slopes
  • Can set up and properly use a pipe laser and builder's level
  • Knowledge of safe rigging and hoisting equipment and procedures
  • Knowledge of PSCC and OSHA rules, including Safe trenching guidelines
  • Understands optimum moisture, densities and compaction requirements
  • Read and interpret plans, including pipe restraint joint charts
  • Proper techniques for joining different types of pipe; push joint, MJ, restrained joints, TR Flex and flanged.
  • Heavy Equipment Operation
