Job description

Carbon Steel 6g Welders

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have MIG and FCAW Pipe Welding experience.  Must be able to pass a 6g FCAW test.
  • Will consider Pipe Fitters who don't weld with extensive fitting experience and who can tack their own welds but not pass a full weld test.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
  • Build and install piping system according to company standards.
  • Perform welding tasks using various techniques, including FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding).
  • Execute pipe threading and ductwork installation as required.
  • Conduct inspections of welding joints to ensure structural integrity.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Pipe Welder with proficiency in welding techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal work and rigging practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards governing welding operations.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents accurately.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting heavy materials.
  • Certification in welding or related field is preferred but not manditory.
