What You'll Be Doing

As an Advanced Construction Laborer / Pipefitter, you'll play a key role in the installation, maintenance, and rehabilitation of critical water and sewer infrastructure systems. Your work will directly impact communities by supporting reliable water delivery and treatment operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, assemble, and repair underground piping systems using PVC, CPVC, ductile iron, and other materials.
  • Lay water mains, sewer mains, and utility piping according to project specifications.
  • Cut, fit, bend, and prepare pipe using industry-standard tools and equipment.
  • Perform pipe installation, alignment, and connection work on new construction and rehabilitation projects.
  • Safely operate rigging equipment to move and position heavy materials.
  • Complete pipe testing and inspections to verify system integrity and performance.
  • Perform brazing and welding as needed.
  • Assist with excavation, grading, trench work, concrete placement, and compaction activities.
  • Troubleshoot and repair existing pipe systems and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with experienced crews to complete complex projects safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain the highest standards of safety, workmanship, and productivity.

What We're Looking ForRequired Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in pipefitting, pipe laying, underground utilities, or heavy civil construction.
  • Experience installing water and sewer mains.
  • Hands-on experience with ductile iron and CPVC piping systems.
  • Ability to cut, fit, and install pipe with precision.
  • Familiarity with brazing, welding, and pipe testing procedures.
  • Experience using construction tools, rigging equipment, and pipe installation equipment.
  • Strong understanding of construction site safety practices.
