What You'll Do:
Responsible for leading the Crowley Engineering Services Marine Engineering team, overseeing engineering and design development for mechanical and electrical systems, and delivering project management and technical expertise across a diverse marine vessel design, construction, and modification projects.

Professional Engineer (PE) license in mechanical engineering or naval architecture and marine engineering required. Licensure through Washington preferred, by comity acceptable. Proficiency with Rhino, PIPE-FLO, and ShipConstructor preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or alternatives. Ability to review project work, quantities, costs, accuracy of specifications, completeness, and constructability. Ability to interpret architectural/engineering drawings, specifications, codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope. Knowledge of and ability to utilize design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. Knowledge of principles, practices and concepts of project management. Knowledge of federal, state and local safety regulations, protocols, and procedures as they pertain to environmental health standards.
Working Conditions:
Works both inside an office environment and also outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time.
