OVERVIEW

Archer Western Construction is currently seeking a Pipe Layer for the Central Water Group/Hutto South WWTP Expansion, inHutto, TX.

The Pipe Layer will perform pipe-laying tasks involving physical labor (laying, joining, wrapping, sealing) on construction jobsites including commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects; may operate hand and/or power tools as needed; may prepare site and assist with other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lays, joins, aligns, wraps, and seals pipe sections, clay, concrete, and other type of pipe for water/gas main, sanitary sewer, telephone/electrical conduits
• Ability to work with crew members and operate a variety of hand and power tools including drills, hammers, and other tools as directed by management
• Ability to perform tasks including physical labor as instructed by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1 Years Verifiable Experience Preferred
• Requires ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions
• Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
• Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
• Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening

La funcion principal de un Capa de Tuberia es realizara tareas de colocacion de tuberias que involucran trabajo fisico (colocacion, union, envoltura, sellado) en sitios de trabajo de construccion, incluidos proyectos comerciales, industriales o civiles pesados; puede operar herramientas manuales y / o electricas segun sea necesario; puede preparar el sitio y ayudar con otras tareas que le sean asignadas.

RESPONSABILIDADES

CALIFICACIONES

• Experiencia de construccion verificable de 1 ano preferido
• Debe poder levantar hasta 50 libras; puede ser requerido para trabajar en varias condiciones climaticas
• Requiere la capacidad de cumplir con todas las politicas y procedimientos de seguridad; comunicarse efectivamente con companeros de trabajo y supervisores para asegurar que los proyectos se completen adecuadamente
• Poseer una fuerte etica de trabajo y ganas de aprender
