Job description

Small, family-owned, busy construction company is seeking an experienced Pipe Foreman to lead and work alongside a construction crew on local jobsites.


This is a hands-on working foreman position. Our foremen are expected to work alongside their crew, not simply supervise from the sidelines. The ideal candidate is an experienced pipe installer who can read plans, shoot grades, perform the work, and effectively lead a crew while keeping the job moving.


Responsibilities include:

  • Read and interpret construction plans and specifications
  • Shoot and maintain proper grades and elevations
  • Perform hands-on pipe installation and other field work
  • Lead and work alongside the crew throughout the job
  • Assign daily tasks and keep crew members on task and productive
  • Ensure work is completed accurately, safely, and according to plans
  • Coordinate with equipment operators, laborers, and other crew members
  • Monitor job progress and communicate any issues or needs to management
  • Maintain an organized and safe jobsite
  • Perform other construction-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Previous pipe installation and foreman experience
  • Strong ability to read construction plans
  • Experience shooting grades and elevations
  • Thorough understanding of underground utility/pipe installation
  • Ability to perform the work yourself while effectively managing a crew
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Construction experience required
  • Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to keep a crew productive

This position is best suited for an experienced pipe installer who is ready to lead a crew while remaining actively involved in the work. We are looking for a working foreman who leads by working alongside the crew.
