Job description

The Pipefitter helper will assist in fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining commercial HVAC
piping systems with direction and supervision provided the mechanic/lead through hands on training.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the installation and maintenance of pressure piping systems
  • Assist in construction, maintaining and fixing piping systems to make sure that fluids flow securely
    and without leaks from one point to another
  • Assist with ensuring that piping runs well
  • Able to read blue prints and install piping accurately
  • Provide the supplies and tools need for a project to the pipe fitter by loading, transporting and
    unloading them in a safe manner
  • Assist with setting up work are with necessary tools and equipment
  • Assisting pipefitters with configuration, arranging, and installing pipe, knowing pipe fittings, rivets,
    and valves, preparing pipe and fixtures for lifting and trying to rig, being accustomed to metallic
    elements, locating and marking metal flexing and cutting routes, cleaning work area, and restocking
    parts and equipment as needed are all part of the job duties.
  • Working on elevated ground and maintaining balance when standing on restricted levels such as
    beams and pipelines are also required skills.
  • You must be able to work effectively and precisely while also contributing to a solid safety culture

    bending, crouching, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds repetitively
  • Must be able to physically perform frequent ladder work.
  • Must adhere to all OSHA and Page Mechanical safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand safety rules, instructions in the use and maintenance of tools and
    equipment, and methods and procedures in mechanical drawing and layout work
