Job description

Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated healthcare plumber to join our team and contribute to the efficient and safe operation of our healthcare facility. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the proper installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems within the facility, adhering to industry standards and regulations. The healthcare plumber will play a critical role in safeguarding the health and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors by maintaining a reliable and functional plumbing infrastructure.
The hours are from 3:00pm-11:30pm, Mon-Fri with possibly rotating weekends.

*$500 sign-on bonus is available to EXTERNAL candidates only and is paid over a 1-year period.

What you will do:

Installation and Maintenance: Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, valves, and fittings, ensuring compliance with building codes and healthcare industry regulations. This includes troubleshooting, identifying issues, and implementing effective solutions promptly.

Plumbing System Inspection: Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to detect potential problems such as leaks, clogs, or damaged components. Perform necessary repairs or replacements to prevent disruptions in service and ensure the continuous operation of water supply and drainage systems.

Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards pertaining to plumbing installations within regulatory standards and documentation requirements.

Qualifications:

- Completion of certificate from an accredited Trade School orHigh School diploma or equivalent and 6 years' experience; completion of a formal plumbing apprenticeship program preferred.

- Valid plumbing license or certification highly preferred.

- Proven experience as a plumber, specifically in healthcare facilities or similar settings.

- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, equipment, materials, and tools.

- Familiarity with local plumbing codes, regulations, and industry standards.

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and perform manual labor as required.
