PIPs are common in sales jobs to address performance issues before making employment decisions.

For a PIP Sales role, resigning may be appropriate if you are seeking a career change or facing workplace issues, but going on a PIP (Performance Improvement Plan) is typically used to address performance concerns and improve skills. Deciding between the two depends on your job satisfaction, performance, and future goals; consulting with HR or a career advisor can help determine the best course of action.

The exact percentage varies by company and situation, but not all employees on a PIP are fired. PIPs are used as a formal process to support improvement before considering termination.
