Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring 2+ years of pre-op, PACU, and Phase II experience along with weekly call responsibilities.

Details
  • Surgery floor covering Pre-op, PACU, and Phase II care
  • Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric
  • 10-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:4 for Pre-op and Phase 2, and 1:2 for PACU
  • Specialties include ENT, General, Ortho, GYN, OB, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, and Cath Lab
  • Common procedures include total joints, laparoscopic appendectomies and cholecystectomies, FESS, T&A, thyroidectomy, hysterectomy, D&C, C-section, cath lab pacemaker placement, and cardioversion
  • Variable 10-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM with call requirements
  • On call one day during the week and one weekend per month
  • Floating required
  • Uses Pinpoint, CQI, and Medhost EHR systems
  • Every other weekend schedule
Requirements
  • Active NV RN license required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA certifications required)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • ADN required
  • Required skills include IV proficiency and experience in Pre-op, PACU, and Phase II
  • Rural acute hospital experience preferred
  • Prior travel assignment experience preferred
Additional Information
  • Provide perioperative nursing care across Pre-op, PACU, and Phase II settings for a fast-paced surgical unit
  • Scrubs furnished by facility
  • Fast-paced work environment
  • Permanent address must be more than 60 miles from the facility
  • Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
  • Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
  • Weekly orientations offered
