Job description

Centrally located on Interstate 94 less than 25 miles northwest of Maple Grove and 30 miles southeast of Saint Cloud, Monticello is home to five brick and mortar schools and two nature-based facilities serving more than 4,000 students annually. Monticello consistently ranks in the top 50 school districts in the state as measured by a number of organizations and metrics, and performs above the state average in graduation rates, test scores, and early college opportunities.


We are seeking a passionate, student-centered Interventionist to join the incredible team at Pinewood Elementary School. This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact on students while working alongside a fantastic staff that is deeply committed to student learning. The ideal candidate will create an environment where students feel safe, valued, loved, and capable of success every day.

In this role, you will provide targeted literacy and/or math interventions for students who need additional support to reach grade-level expectations. Working within a collaborative MTSS framework, the Interventionist will use evidence-based practices, data-driven decision making, and strong relationships to accelerate student growth and help every learner thrive. This position is ideal for an educator who is passionate about the science of reading, responsive instruction, and helping students build both confidence and skills.

JOB SUMMARY: The Interventionist provides targeted, evidence-based literacy/ math instruction to students who are not meeting grade-level benchmarks. This position supports the implementation of the Minnesota READ Act, ADSIS programming and MN state standards by delivering structured literacy interventions and/or evidenced based math interventions, using data-driven decision-making, and collaborating within a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework to accelerate student reading and/or math achievement and reduce referrals to special education.
 






Education and Certification Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in reading, education, special education, or related field
  2. Current teaching license
  3. Valid Driver's License

Preferred Education and Experience:

  1. Master's degree in reading, education, special education, or related field
  2. K-12 Reading License
  3. Minimum five years of experience in English Language Arts or Reading instruction, or related fields
  4. Experience analyzing data to design and deliver reading interventions
  5. Data Collection/Analysis experience

  • Understanding of curriculum and MN English/Language Arts Standards

Salary Range: $44,182 - $90,327
