Job description

Daikin Comfort Technologies Mfg is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our PIM Data Manager position at our Waller, TX facility. The Aftermarket Parts PIM (Product Information Management) Data Manager is responsible for overseeing the collection, organization, accuracy, and distribution of product information across multiple platforms. This role ensures that aftermarket parts data including specifications, pricing, images, and marketing content is maintained to the highest standards for use by sales, marketing, e-commerce, and operations teams. The PIM Data Manager will serve as the central point of ownership for all aftermarket parts data and will work closely with vendors, IT, and business units to streamline processes, improve data quality, and drive sales enablement.

Position Responsibilities may include: 

  • Maintain and oversee the PIM system for aftermarket parts, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness of product data.

  • Develop workflows and data governance processes to ensure efficient onboarding of new products.

  • Monitor and improve data quality through audits, validations, and corrective actions.

  • Partner with IT to optimize PIM functionality and ensure system integrations with ERP, e-commerce, and marketing platforms.

  • Establish and enforce standards for product descriptions, attributes, images, pricing, and specifications.

  • Ensure product data aligns with vendor-provided content and internal requirements.

  • Create and manage templates, naming conventions, and classification structures for aftermarket parts.

  • Maintain compliance with industry standards and internal policies.

  • Work with sales and marketing teams to ensure accurate product data is available for promotions, catalogs, and customer-facing platforms

  • Collaborate with vendors to collect, validate, and update product information.

  • Support operations and purchasing by ensuring accurate product details are available for quoting, ordering, and inventory management.

  • Provide reporting and insights on product performance, data quality, and system usage.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for aftermarket parts product data.

  • Train and mentor team members on PIM processes, tools, and best practices.

  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve data workflows, reduce errors, and enhance usability.

  • Lead projects related to PIM system upgrades, vendor onboarding, and digital initiatives.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong data storytelling ability – the ability to produce actionable information/insights, not just data crunching  
  • Ability to put results into context, considering the overall business goals and performance.

  • Comfortable with experimentation and testing of Minimum Viable Products to determine if proposed business models/solutions scale up  
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and Access; ability to translate data insights into PowerPoint presentations   
  • Proficient with BI tools such as Tableau, DOMO, or Microsoft BI  
  • Experience with Qualtrics or other survey tools   
  • Understanding of relational databases with experience in SQL or R preferred   
  • Natural ability and desire to work on a team; goes the extra mile when needed  
  • Ability to work independently.  
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, capable of communicating with people of many different levels of an organization

Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Management, Information Systems, or related field preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in product information management, data governance, or related roles.

  • Strong knowledge of aftermarket parts industry or HVAC distribution preferred.

  • Experience working with PIM or MDM systems, ERP integrations, and data workflows.

  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and vendors.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.

Education/Certification 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Management, Information Systems, or related field preferred.  
  • (Optional) Master’s degree in Business Administration / Marketing
