While you are not the primary authority on the flight deck, your role is vital for supporting the Pilot in Command and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Working closely as part of a two-person cockpit team, you'll need to stay alert, flexible, and ready to take over if required. This collaborative environment offers valuable experience and growth opportunities for aspiring Captains.

Leadership, clear communication, teamwork, and situational awareness help SICs effectively coordinate with captains and crew. These abilities are critical to ensure flight safety, compliance, and efficient cockpit collaboration.
