The Field Service Technician IV is a highly experienced professional who provides top-tier technical support, maintenance, and repair services for advanced systems. This role requires exceptional diagnostic skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage complex field projects independently. The technician will also be responsible for developing comprehensive training programs and leading technical teams.
The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber.
Responsibilities:
  • Execute top-tier maintenance and repair tasks on advanced aerospace and defense systems.
  • Independently manage and oversee complex field service projects.
  • Diagnose and resolve the most complex and challenging technical issues.
  • Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to the entire field service team.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for customers and internal teams.
  • Maintain precise and detailed records of all field activities and equipment status.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and industry regulations.
  • Oversee and optimize inventory management for spare parts and tools.
  • Produce and present detailed technical reports and insights to senior management.
  • Travel extensively to customer locations, including international sites.

  • 5+ years of experience as a technician or in a related field.

  • Advanced electrical wiring skills.
  • Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time.
  • Prior experience with Linux and Java
  • Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required
  • Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations
  • Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
  • Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.
  • Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
  • Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/60 rotation.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience with FCC or FCC GROL
  • Prior experience with Security+, Network+, CCNA and/or A+
  • Basic understanding of Spectrometer, Oscilloscope and/or Pilot Static Equipment gauges

  • Associate's degree in a related field of study.
  • Experience with FCC or FCC General Radio Operator License (GROL).
  • Prior experience with Security+, Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and/or A+.
  • Basic understanding of Spectrometer, Oscilloscope, and/or Pilot Static equipment gauges.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
  • Experience in leading and managing technical teams or large-scale projects.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
