Now Hiring Retail Unarmed Security Officers!

Applicants need to be able and willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays, if needed.

Must have a current valid New Mexico Level II Guard License. Be able and willing to conduct extended foot patrols of the district area up to and including six hours.

Must have a clean driving record.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct vehicle, foot patrols of areas in the public right of way to identify potential safety and security risks
  • Maintain a visible presence and engage in professional public interactions
  • Document all interactions in a clear and concise written report, ensuring the accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)
  • Communicate and pass on all pertinent information to fellow team members, other safety teams, and the client.
  • Monitor and/or detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft and or other criminal behavior
  • Warn violators of infractions e.g., loitering, smoking and or in possession of prohibited items
  • Respond to calls of distress, alarms and/or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders
  • Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner
  • Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed
  • Other duties to be determined by management
  • Pay $17.95 HR

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older to drive company vehicles
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Valid New Mexico Level II Guard License
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience
  • Minimum of one year of security experience
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
  • This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping and walking for extended periods of time!
