Job description

Position Title: WMI Pilot In Command

Position Reports to: Director of Flight Operations

Location: International โ€“ various locations

Primary Operational Objectives:

The WMI Pilot In Command is responsible for flying aircraft(s) in specific weather conditions and assisting the Pilot in Command with maintaining all aspects of the aircraft and operations.

Primary Aircraft: King Air C90 and B200

Essential Job Functions include:

  • Operating aircraft during special mission operations.
  • Assisting in performing maintenance on the aircraft or special missions' equipment.
  • Replenishing the seeding agents as required.
  • Keeping the project meteorologists informed of new storm or cloud development during operations.
  • Keeping accurate flight records
  • Maintain a clean, organized aircraft, office and work area.
  • Providing 24 hour/7 days a week weather watch as needed/requested.
  • Providing positive public relations, maintaining a professional image, and promoting a team environment.
  • Providing WMI key personnel updates after operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2500+ hours total time
  • 500 hours turbine time
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Multi-Engine Time preferred.
  • Must be Commercial/ME/Instrument rated.
  • Must have current First or Second Class Medical.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, fluent English.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality/use of tact and discretion.
  • Willing to relocate and travel internationally.
  • Passport

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Frequently standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing and pulling
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
